Neurology

Neurology - a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the peripheral nervous system and central nervous system. Neurology and psychiatry are related fields, and some diseases are the domain of both the neurologist and psychiatrist. Neurology deals mainly with diseases for which the ground is the process of damaging the nervous system and psychiatry, in turn, deals mainly with diseases for which the ground is a biochemical disorder of brain functioning as a whole.
The most common diseases of the nervous system are:

• nervous system infections (eg meningitis meningitis, encephalitis),
• vascular disorders (eg intracerebral haemorrhage, cerebral infarction, transient ischemic attack, TIA),
• disorders of cerebrospinal fluid (eg, hydrocephalus)
• tumors ( such as meningiomas, gliomas)
• injuries of the nervous system (eg neuropathic pain, radiation injury)
• injuries and perinatal disorders (eg cerebral palsy)
• genetic disorders (eg, Wilson's disease)
• mitochondrial diseases (eg hereditary optic neuropathy Leber)
• neurocutaneus disorders (eg Recklinghausen disease),
• peripheral neuropathy (eg radial nerve palsy),
• peripheral neuropathy (eg radial nerve palsy),
• hereditary ataxia (eg, Friedreich's disease),
• movement disorders (eg Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease),
• spinal cord diseases (eg syringomyelia)
• diseases of the neuromuscular connections (eg, myasthenia gravis),
• myopathies (eg Duchenne muscular dystrophy),
• demyelinating diseases (such as multiple sclerosis)
• diseases of the autonomic nervous system (eg, familial dysautonomia),
• seizure disorders (eg epilepsy, migraines , sleep disorders)
